The good news first: We can still deliver our Mini-PCs! As of now, we continue to work without restriction. Employees who have to look after their children are now allowed to do mobile working. Customer visits and meetings were canceled. In addition, the entire workforce was comprehensively informed about hygiene measures and sufficient disinfectants were made available. Our production staff only works with gloves and keeps distance from each other.

Fortunately, our production is still well staffed and the goods are in stock, in consequence the production and delivery of our Mini-PCs is still going on. Our prices will also remain stable for the moment. If changes should arise in individual cases, we will contact the respective customer as soon as possible.

Update for the KUMO V: Now available with GTX 1660

The KUMO V, our latest high-end mini-PC for high-performance graphics applications, receives a small but nice update: From now on, the digital signage player, which is usually equipped with an Nvidia RTX 2060 graphics card, can also be ordered with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660. This scores with 6 GB DDR6 memory, 1408 CUDA cores and a KUMO entry price of 1,095.00 euros.

Meeting with social distancing: customer meeting 2.0 at spo-comm

At spo-comm we work as usual - of course with some adjustments to the current situation. In these times we want to be there for our customers and partners and advise you in the usual quality.

For this reason, we now want to offer virtual customer visits with our key account managers Mustafa Ergin, Martin Wiesneth and Hülya Ergin. If you are interested, simply contact us by email or phone (via vertrieb@spo-comm.de or +49 911 23 98 37 - 0) to make an appointment or use the contact form on our website.

News from MSI: Successor for BRICK and WINDBOX II

The Taiwanese hardware manufacturer MSI IPC is one of our most important partners. We are currently busy developing the successor models for the BRICK series and our bestseller WINDBOX II Quad, which are to be launched this summer. The first tests are extremely promising.

What's new? Update for the KUMO V and customer meetings 2.0
The corona crisis dominates the news - even in the tech world. But we have some spo-comm company news for you.
22 Jul 2020 Array ( [id] => 523 [title] => NEW: BRICK i3 7100U - The industrial allrounder [authorId] => [active] => 1 [shortDescription] => In cooperation with their technology partner MSI IPC, spo-comm has developed a follow-up model for the BRICK i3. As the name BRICK i3 7100U already suggests, the new CPU has received an update. Due to the guaranteed long-term availability, the connections and dimensions of the passively cooled housing remain unchanged. [description] =>

High performance and energy saving

The namesake Intel® Core i3 7100U CPU with 2 x 2.40 GHz is supported with up to 16 GB DDR4 RAM and can even display 4K resolution on two screens. This means that the BRICK i3 7100U is the more powerful model in the BRICK series and thus, is suitable for demanding applications in the industrial sector – while having an impressively low power consumption of just 15 watts.

Compact and robust

The industrial PC sits in a compact, robust metal housing with the dimensions 155 x 200 x 55 millimeters, is cooled without a fan and runs smoothly in the extended temperature range from -10°C  to +55°C. So it feels particularly comfortable in harsh environments and is the right solution for various industrial applications - whether if it’s machine control, data measurement or in a control cabinet. Thanks to the included wall and VESA mount, the BRICK i3 7100U can easily be assembled and fastened behind displays or on walls. DIN rail is also optionally available.

6x COM and 4x LAN

At the front of the embedded PC there are two USB 2.0 interfaces, two audio connections (1x MIC IN and 1x LINE OUT), a power button and incredible six COM connections, including four RS-232 and two RS-232/422/485. Two screens can be connected via the HDMI 1.4 and the DisplayPort on the back panel. There are also four USB 3.2 and two LAN interfaces, which can be expanded to four. WLAN is optionally available. If you do not want to connect the industrial PC via the included power supply, but rather directly in a control cabinet or to a machine to be controlled, you can use the 2Pin Phoenix Connector. An external power button can also be implemented this way.

Technical data at a glance

  • CPU: Intel® Core i3 7100U, 2 x 2.40 GHz
  • RAM: Up to 16GB DDR4
  • 1x SSD/HDD: up to 960 GB
