NEW: BRICK J3455E – Ultra power saving industrial PC

Together with our Taiwanese partner MSI IPC the BRICK J3455E was developed as the successor model of the BRICK J1900. As well as ist predecessor, the PC convinces with a performant Intel® Celeron® processor, as the name already suggests a J3455E. The special highlight of this PC: Ist variety of interfaces.

Performant and power saving

The latest model of the BRICK series is – as the name suggests – equipped with an Intel® Quad-Core Celeron® J3455E CPU with 4 x 1.5 GHz and up to 2.3 GHz. Furthermore, the industrial PC works extremely power saving and consumes only 45 watt as a maximum.

Robust & fanless for rough industrial applications

The BRICK J3455E is built with a robust metal housing and is – just as is right and proper for an industrial PC – passively cooled. Due to the completely closed housing with dimensions of only 155 x 200 x 55 mm the system can also be used in rough or dusty environments, even if there’s not much space. The BRICK can work in an extended temperature range from -10°C up to +55°C and is like that, perfectly made for different industrial applications. Using the included wall mount or the optional DIN-Rail clips the BRICK J3455E can easily be mounted.

6x COM and 4x USB 3.2 Gen 1

The 6 COM ports on the front of the BRICK J3455E are probably the first thing to notice when looking at the system. The power button, two Antenna ports, two USB 2.0 interfaces and the audio connectors (1x MIC IN and 1x LINE OUT) are also located on the front panel.

The whole thing is completed with four USB 3.2 Gen 1 interfaces and two LAN ports on the back panel. Furthermore, the video outputs HDMI and DisplayPort are located here. With these, two displays can be controlled and content in a resolution of 3840 x 2160 @ 60 Hz can be played.

All highlights at a glance:

  • CPU: Intel® Celeron J3455E, 4 x 1.5 GHz up to 2.3 GHz
  • RAM: Up to 8GB SO-DDR3 LP
  • 1x SSD/HDD: Up to 960 GB

Industrial PCs part 1: The metal housing

In our small but fine series about the stars in our product catalog, it's all about what makes industrial PCs to what they are. Because industrial PCs (also called "IPCs") must fulfill special requirements in order to be considered as such. In the first part of our 5 part blog series, we will focus on the cases. Here we go!

Industrial PCs part 2: Energy efficiency

Did part 1 of our current knowledge series about the industrial PC convince you? Then let's move on to the next article! The second part of our blog series about the robust computing systems is about the energy-efficient design of the systems. Why that is so important you ask? We clarify.
