NEW: spo-book NANO H110 – Entry-Level Player with Desktop CPU

The new spo-book NANO H110 brings a breath of fresh air to the well-known NANO series. spo-comm has built a powerful desktop CPU into this slim metal housing. If you're looking for sophisticated graphics applications with an outstanding price/performance ratio, this Mini-PC can do the job with no problems!

Large range of CPUs

Thanks to the freely selectable desktop CPU, the spo-book NANO H110 can be flexibly adapted to your application. The product range includes Intel Core i processors of the 6th Generation (Skylake) from i3 to i7, as well as a Celeron CPU.

Flexibility - squared

The compact mini PC boasts a square metal housing measuring 178 x 34 x 178 mm. The spo-book NANO H110 is supplied with more than just a VESA-standard wall mount - it also comes with a practical stand, offering a wide range of application and assembly options. It can be deployed in various ways; with its low height, this 1.5 kg lightweight fits perfectly behind a screen. And with the Kensington lock, there's even an anti-theft device.

Dual display and 8x USB

The interfaces of the spo-book NANO H110 are also impressive: the front panel features two audio ports and four USB 3.0 ports. Four additional USB ports are located on the back panel. There are also DisplayPort, HDMI and VGA ports for separate screen display on up to two monitors. The former even boasts a resolution of 4K@60Hz, especially appealing for digital signage applications. In addition, a COM (RS232), a Realtek Gigabit LAN and two antenna connectors are available for optional WLAN and Bluetooth connections.

SSD trends, Intel i-8000 and branding for Windows 10 IoT [authorId] => [active] => 1 [shortDescription] => SSD manufacturers rely more and more on PCIe instead of SATA and Intel has introduced a new CPU of the Core i-8000 generation. SSD trends of the Computex: TLC and M.2

PCIe instead of SATA – this trend was clearly visible at this year’s Computex in Taipei. As manufacturers are not making any progress on the speed of SATA SSDs, the future lies with the much faster PCIe SSDs like M.2. In addition, the IT fair has shown, that cheaper SSDs are now increasingly using TLC memory with 3 bits per cell.

More options for vehicle computing: New accessories for the MOVE series

From now on, spo-comm offers even more accessories for the two current vehicle PCs spo-book MOVE QM87 and spo-book MOVE N3160: A GPS module for navigation and geolocation as well as a CAN bus for special vehicle applications.

Turbo clocking at 15 watts TDP: Intel i-8000

Another innovation introduced at Computex is a quad-core processor of the Intel Core i-8000 generation. The special thing about it: With a TDP (thermal design power) of just 15 watts, turbo clock speeds of up to 4 GHz are to be achieved. The i7 CPU is scheduled to come onto the market in the fall of 2017, delivering up to 30 percent more speed than the competing Core i7-7500U processor of the current Kaby Lake generation.

Individual branding: Customizing package for Windows 10 IoT Enterprise

In order to make the most of the benefits of Windows 10 IoT Enterprise, spo-comm will soon offer a customizing package. This allows the adjustment of the operating system, so that you can appear as a manufacturer of the Mini-PC with your own logo, OEM information such as company name, website and telephone number, customized login screen and much more. The image, which has been adapted to your needs, is then safely stored with us and can be installed for future orders.

Variable desktop CPU

What makes the NANO H310 so special is the possibility to tailor the performance of the mini PC to individual needs. Desktop CPUs are available in all performance variants: starting with an Intel Pentium G5400 with 2 x 3.7 GHz, through the Intel® Core i3-8100 with 4 x 3.6 GHz, up to the six-core processors Intel ® Core i5-8400 with 2.8 GHz (max. 4.0 GHz) and - for all those who have particularly performant applications - Intel® Core i7-8700 with 3.2 GHz (max. 4.6 GHz).

Compact digital signage player

With the powerful CPU and the ability to simultaneously display a resolution of 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels) on two screens, the NANO H310 is perfect for digital signage applications. But, thanks to its good price, it is also often used as an all-rounder. The hardware is cooled by a fan and is in a square metal housing with the dimensions 178 x 178 millimeters. Thanks to a height of just 34 millimeters, the industrial PC is quite flat and therefore also fits behind screens, where it can be installed in accordance with standards thanks to the VESA wall mount. And if you don't want to hang up your NANO, you can put it upright with the included stand to save space.

Connections for industrial control and digital signage

The front of the mini PC has been updated. In addition to two USB 3.1 interfaces, there are now two USB Type C. Besides, there is also the power button and the two audio connections LINE OUT and MIC OUT. A MIC IN can be found on the back panel. Furthermore there are four USB 2.0 interfaces, one COM and one LAN. An HDMI 1.2, a DisplayPort 1.2 and a VGA connection are available for the transmission of multimedia content. If you want to use your NANO H310 in public places, you can use the Kensington Lock to protect it against theft. The industrial PC can optionally be equipped with WiFi.

Technical data at a glance:

  • CPU: Intel® Pentium G5400, 2 x 3.7 GHz, Intel® Core i3-8100, 4 x 3.6 GHz, Intel® Core i5-8400 6 x 2.80 GHz (max. 4.0 GHz), Intel® Core i7-8700, 6 x 3.2 GHz (max. 4.6 GHz)

The dedicated nVidia graphics card, the compact enclosure and the barely audible fans were immediately of interest and showed that the market is ripe for an industrial PC of the extra class. [description] =>

Industrial PC for Virtual Reality and Digital Signage

Like its predecessors, the spo-book KUMO IV is attractive due to its innovative and unique combination of a robust, compact metal housing and an extremely powerful, high-end graphics card. The latter is from nVidia's current Pascal generation, goes by the name GTX 1060 and is equipped with 6 GB DDR5 video RAM. An Intel Core i5-6400T Desktop CPU (Skylake) with four cores and a frequency of 2.2 (max. 2.8) gigahertz also delivers impressive performance. Whether it is high-resolution digital signage applications or sophisticated virtual reality solutions – the spo-book KUMO IV is capable of (almost) everything.

Four-fold 4K@60Hz

Thanks to 2-fold DisplayPort 1.3 and 2-fold HDMI 2.0b, the Mini-PC is able to simultaneously display 4K content with a picture frequency of 60 hertz on four screens. And if 4K is not enough, the spo-book KUMO IV even displays 8K@60Hz, a resolution of a fabulous 7680 x 4320 pixels. It is supported by up to 32 GB DDR 4 RAM. This exceptional performance is housed in a compact case with the dimensions 200 x 205 x 80 mm. From the end of march the Mini-PC will be available in the desired configuration.
