Nvidia Quadro P1000 with MOSAIC support
As the name suggests, the Nvidia Quadro P1000 graphics card with a 4 GB DDR5 memory builds the centerpiece of the Mini-PC. The main feature of this card is the MOSAIC support: using the four HDMI ports up to four displays can be combined to one single desktop. The highlight is: even if one cabled is pulled off the apposition of the screens stays the same.
Nvidias Nview and CUDA support
Another very interesting feature is the function Nview. With this tool, which is by the way standard with every Nvidia Geforce graphics card, desktops can be created more efficiently. Nview is made for everyone that works with a lot of different windows or a huge amount of information at the same time. On one hand the work can be spread on many monitors, so that the open windows are not sticked to just one display. On the other hand Nview also has a solution for the use of one display: virtual desktops can be created and toggled between by keystroke.
Furthermore the QUADRO P1000 provides a CUDA platform. Thanks to 640 cores in total, which are based on the Pascal GPU, many different visualization programs, for instance CAD, are easier to realize.
Connector diversity by 3x USB and 4x HDMI
The latest model QUADRO P1000 is equipped with a high amount of different interfaces. On the front panel of the Mini-PC the power button and two control lights for the HDD/SSD and the WiFi can be found (see also “What is the difference between HDD and SSD?” and “What is LAN?”). One of the four USB 3.0 ports, two audio connectors and an SD card reader are also located on the front.
Next to two Gigabit LAN ports the back panel provides four HDMI ports that enable the multi monitor use. With these interfaces four displays with a maximum resolution of 3840 x 2160 @60Hz (4K) can be controlled at once (see also “What is the difference between 4K and 8K?”). Combining the multi monitor ability with the new feature Nview, the QUADRO P1000 becomes the perfect workstation solution. In addition to this, the back of the Mini-PC also holds a COM port, two Antenna ports and an SPDIF, which involves benefits mostly for the stereo field (see also “What is SPDIF?”).
Energy saving Intel® CPU and customizable configuration
The actively cooled QUADRO P1000 is equipped with an Intel® Core i5-7300U CPU, that has a performance of 2.6 GHz up to 3.5 GHz. The “U” in the CPUs name stands for “Ultralow” and an energy saving 15 W processor (read more about TDP here). The Mini-PC can be stocked with up to 32 GB DDRIV Ram and either an HDD or an SSD. It can also be chosen between the different Windows 10 versions Home, Professional and IoT. Due to the integrated M.2 slot it is also possible to equip the system with WiFi and Bluetooth.
