An AMD Ryzen V1000 processor for outdoor DS applications – sounds good? spo-comm makes this possible. With the fanless cooled spo-book RUGGED Ryzen, the hardware manufacturer from Nuremberg is launching a Mini-PC that not only has an extremely high graphics performance – 4x 4K@60Hz is no problem – but is also suitable for outdoor and vehicle computing.

The BOX series of spo-comm is expanding. The latest Mini-PC is called spo-book BOX N4100 and is even smaller and more energy efficient than the previous BOX models. In combination with its passive cooling system, the Mini-PC is the perfect solution when it comes to simple 4K digital signage applications in small spaces.

With the TEGRA 2 we welcome our next newcomer. The passively cooled Mini-PC is based on SoC-chip developed by Nvidia and is equipped with everything needed as standard. Thanks to the integrated CUDA-cores and the particularly for this hardware adjusted Linux version, the TEGRA 2 is the perfect digital signage player for developers.

The new system in the spo-comm product range has the name QUADRO P1000. The namesake graphics card and the Intel® Core i5-7300U CPU with 2.6 and up to 3.5 GHz make the Mini-PC a perfect partner for digital signage applications.

The latest extension in the spo-comm product range is the spo-book NOVA Q170. As the successor of the industrial Mini-PC NOVA CUBE Q87, the NOVA Q170 again proves its versatility. The Mini-PC, which grows out of the cooperation with MSI IPC, is standardly equipped with an Intel® Pentium® G4400. At will the CPU can be changed to a sixth generation Intel® Core i5 CPU or an i7 of the seventh generation. Depending on the chosen CPU the power ranges from 3.3 GHz with the G4400 up to 3.9 GHz with the i7-7700T. The NOVA Q170 is, just like its predecessor, passively cooled and provides, next to a range of interfaces, a PCI, a PCI express and a Mini-PCI express slot. Also digital signage interested people come at their expense when combining the industrial PC with an extremely performant graphics card, such as the Nvidia Quadro P2000.

We’ve just released our new RUGGED Q170 for the Vehicle application and outdoor scenarios and now we already come up with another new Mini-PC that’s even from the same series. The beauty is called spo-book RUGGED GTX 1050 Ti. Experts may guess what stands behind this Mini-PC just by reading its name: A super performant, robust PC with the High-End nVidia GTX 1050 Ti graphics card. This already can make digital signage fans’ and customers’ hearts skip a beat. And justifiably so. The combination of the well-known RUGGED characteristics and this graphics card let this Mini-PC surpass everything we had to offer the digital signage field so far.

Together with the Taiwanese partner MSI IPC the spo-comm developed a new Mini-PC from the well-known WINDBOX series. We present to you: The WINDBOX III EVO. With the already existing quality of the WINDBOX series that stands for a versatile application scenario, its reliability and an unbeatable price, the new model of this line convinces us, too.

Our RUGGED Q170 doesn’t only convince with its sixth generation Intel® Core i5 CPU or its free selectable RAM (up to 32 GB), but also with a feature, that is totally new in the history of spo-comm. Besides the usual application field of the RUGGED series – which is especially the outdoor use – the newcomer also conquers new areas of application.

In today´s article of our series about our product range we will introduce our WINDBOX series this week. The spo-book WINDBOX II Quad and the spo-book WINDBOX III Advanced stand for their versatile range of application, their reliability and their attractive price. The latest connectors such as HDMI or USB 3.0, a passive cooling system and a low power consumption are all integrated in these Mini-PCs and make it possible to use the WINDBOX in the industrial sector, as a digital signage player or in the logistics field.
