In order to bring vehicle computing up to date, spo-comm has taken the MOVE QM77 from the range. In its place comes the MOVE QM87 with an Intel Core i5 of the fourth generation.
More connections with same dimensions
The dimensions of the Mini-PC are unchanged and amount to 55 x 250 x 150 millimeters. On the housing, however, we placed more connections. Instead of three, there are now four COM interfaces, two of which are RS422/485. In addition to DVI-I and DisplayPort, the spo-book MOVE QM87 also has a VGA port, so that up to three screens can be connected. Since we are still dealing with a classic Vehicle-PC, the 9-36 V Wide Range power connector, the optional battery and the Mini-PCIe Sots for expansion cards were of course maintained.
##More special features of a Mini-PC
Increase in performance
Although the CPU of the new MOVE QM87 is "just" an Intel Core i5, it is of the fourth generation (Haswell) and therefore more up to date than the Intel Core i7 (third generation, Ivy Bridge) of the MOVE QM77. Therefore the two processors are not only comparable in performance, but the i5 even exceeds the i7 even in most benchmarks, as this comparison shows. In addition to the raise in performance, memory can also be increased. Instead of eight, with the MOVE QM87 up to 16 gigabytes of RAM are possible.
Although the MOVE QM77 is EOL, spo-comm still supplies existing projects. And if less power is needed: our "small" vehicle-PCs MOVE NM10 and MOVE T56N will also be updated shortly.
