New dimensions and connections
The product change results in altered dimensions and connections. Instead of 43 x 195 x 135 millimeters the external dimensions of spo-book BRICK J1900 are now 55 x 200 x 155 mm. This means more room for even more ports: The new model has six instead of four COM interfaces on the front panel. The USB ports have also been expanded from four to six, one of them is of the latest 3.0 standard. In addition to two audio interfaces, a DIO port is also available now. The two LAN ports can optionally be extended to four.
Even more robust
While four gigabytes of RAM have been the maximum to be installed in BRICK NM10, the BRICK J1900 allows up to eight gigabytes. Storage is provided as usual in form of an HDD or SSDs of MLC and SLC versions. The temperature range increases from 0°C-40°C to -10°C-50°C.
Software
The choice of operating systems is now up to date. While BRICK NM10 only offered Windows 7 with 32-bit, the spo-book BRICK J1900 can be installed with Windows 7 Professional 64-bit and Windows 10. Windows Embedded and Linux are also still offered. For those who still need to run an application on a 32-bit operating system, a change to BRICK J1900 won’t state a problem. Even though spo-comm does not offer this option explicitly, however, the appropriate drivers can be provided.
Price cut
The spo-book BRICK NM10 is available until the end of the year. The price of the successor BRICK J1900 has been cut. To ease the transition, we can send you a free testing sample at any time. For further questions please feel free to contact us.
